5: Jesus sent the twelve disciples out with these instructions: "Don't go to the Gentiles or the Samaritans,
John 4:9
- The woman was surprised, for Jews refuse to have anything to do with Samaritans. She said to Jesus, "You are a Jew, and I am a Samaritan woman. Why are you asking me for a drink?"
Acts 22:21
- "But the Lord said to me, 'Leave Jerusalem, for I will send you far away to the Gentiles!'"
- The crowd listened until Paul came to that word; then with one voice they shouted, "Away with such a fellow! Kill him! He isn't fit to live!"

John 4:22
- You Samaritans know so little about the one you worship, while we Jews know all about him, for salvation comes through the Jews.

Romans 15:8
- Remember that Christ came as a servant to the Jews to show that God is true to the promises he made to their ancestors.
- And he came so the Gentiles might also give glory to God for his mercies to them. That is what the psalmist meant when he wrote: "I will praise you among the Gentiles; I will sing praises to your name."
2 Kings 17:24
- And the king of Assyria transported groups of people from Babylon, Cuthah, Avva, Hamath, and Sepharvaim and resettled them in the towns of Samaria, replacing the people of Israel. So the Assyrians took over Samaria and the other towns of Israel.
- But since these foreign settlers did not worship the LORD when they first arrived, the LORD sent lions among them to kill some of them.
- So a message was sent to the king of Assyria: "The people whom you have resettled in the towns of Israel do not know how to worship the God of the land. He has sent lions among them to destroy them because they have not worshiped him correctly."
- The king of Assyria then commanded, "Send one of the exiled priests from Samaria back to Israel. Let him teach the new residents the religious customs of the God of the land."
- So one of the priests who had been exiled from Samaria returned to Bethel and taught the new residents how to worship the LORD.
1 Thessalonians 2:16
- by trying to keep us from preaching the Good News to the Gentiles, for fear some might be saved. By doing this, they continue to pile up their sins. But the anger of God has caught up with them at last.
Luke 9:2
- Then he sent them out to tell everyone about the coming of the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick.
Acts 1:8

Luke 9:52
- He sent messengers ahead to a Samaritan village to prepare for his arrival.
- But they were turned away. The people of the village refused to have anything to do with Jesus because he had resolved to go to Jerusalem.
- When James and John heard about it, they said to Jesus, "Lord, should we order down fire from heaven to burn them up?"
Acts 8:1
- Saul was one of the official witnesses at the killing of Stephen. A great wave of persecution began that day, sweeping over the church in Jerusalem, and all the believers except the apostles fled into Judea and Samaria.

- The people retorted, "You Samaritan devil! Didn't we say all along that you were possessed by a demon?"
Matthew 22:3
- Many guests were invited, and when the banquet was ready, he sent his servants to notify everyone that it was time to come. But they all refused!
John 4:20
- So tell me, why is it that you Jews insist that Jerusalem is the only place of worship, while we Samaritans claim it is here at Mount Gerizim, where our ancestors worshiped?"

- The Lord now chose seventy-two other disciples and sent them on ahead in pairs to all the towns and villages he planned to visit.
