Luke 10:1
1: The Lord now chose seventy-two other disciples and sent them on ahead in pairs to all the towns and villages he planned to visit.
Luke 9:52
- He sent messengers ahead to a Samaritan village to prepare for his arrival.
Mark 6:7
- And he called his twelve disciples together and sent them out two by two, with authority to cast out evil spirits.
- He told them to take nothing with them except a walking stick--no food, no traveler's bag, no money.
- He told them to wear sandals but not to take even an extra coat.
- "When you enter each village, be a guest in only one home," he said.
- "And if a village won't welcome you or listen to you, shake off its dust from your feet as you leave. It is a sign that you have abandoned that village to its fate."

Luke 3:4
- Isaiah had spoken of John when he said, "He is a voice shouting in the wilderness: 'Prepare a pathway for the Lord's coming! Make a straight road for him!
- Fill in the valleys, and level the mountains and hills! Straighten the curves, and smooth out the rough places!
- And then all people will see the salvation sent from God.'"
Numbers 11:24
- So Moses went out and reported the LORD's words to the people. Then he gathered the seventy leaders and stationed them around the Tabernacle.
- And the LORD came down in the cloud and spoke to Moses. He took some of the Spirit that was upon Moses and put it upon the seventy leaders. They prophesied as the Spirit rested upon them, but that was the only time this happened.
- Two men, Eldad and Medad, were still in the camp when the Spirit rested upon them. They were listed among the leaders but had not gone out to the Tabernacle, so they prophesied there in the camp.

Luke 9:1

Acts 13:2

- So after more fasting and prayer, the men laid their hands on them and sent them on their way.
- Sent out by the Holy Spirit, Saul and Barnabas went down to the seaport of Seleucia and then sailed for the island of Cyprus.
Revelation 11:3
- And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will be clothed in sackcloth and will prophesy during those 1,260 days."
- These two prophets are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of all the earth.
- If anyone tries to harm them, fire flashes from the mouths of the prophets and consumes their enemies. This is how anyone who tries to harm them must die.
- They have power to shut the skies so that no rain will fall for as long as they prophesy. And they have the power to turn the rivers and oceans into blood, and to send every kind of plague upon the earth as often as they wish.
- When they complete their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the bottomless pit will declare war against them. He will conquer them and kill them.
Luke 7:13
- When the Lord saw her, his heart overflowed with compassion. "Don't cry!" he said.
