Galatians 5:16
16: So I advise you to live according to your new life in the Holy Spirit. Then you won't be doing what your sinful nature craves.
Galatians 5:24
- Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there.
- If we are living now by the Holy Spirit, let us follow the Holy Spirit's leading in every part of our lives.
Romans 8:12
- So, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation whatsoever to do what your sinful nature urges you to do.

- envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other kinds of sin. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
Galatians 6:8
- Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful desires will harvest the consequences of decay and death. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.
Colossians 3:5
- So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual sin, impurity, lust, and shameful desires. Don't be greedy for the good things of this life, for that is idolatry.
- God's terrible anger will come upon those who do such things.
- You used to do them when your life was still part of this world.
- But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language.
- Don't lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old evil nature and all its wicked deeds.
Romans 8:4
- He did this so that the requirement of the law would be fully accomplished for us who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.
- Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.
Romans 13:13
- We should be decent and true in everything we do, so that everyone can approve of our behavior. Don't participate in wild parties and getting drunk, or in adultery and immoral living, or in fighting and jealousy.
- But let the Lord Jesus Christ take control of you, and don't think of ways to indulge your evil desires.
