Ephesians 2:3
3: All of us used to live that way, following the passions and desires of our evil nature. We were born with an evil nature, and we were under God's anger just like everyone else.
Titus 3:3
- Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled by others and became slaves to many wicked desires and evil pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy. We hated others, and they hated us.
1 Peter 1:14
- Obey God because you are his children. Don't slip back into your old ways of doing evil; you didn't know any better then.
Galatians 5:16
- So I advise you to live according to your new life in the Holy Spirit. Then you won't be doing what your sinful nature craves.
- The old sinful nature loves to do evil, which is just opposite from what the Holy Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are opposite from what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, and your choices are never free from this conflict.
- But when you are directed by the Holy Spirit, you are no longer subject to the law.
- When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, your lives will produce these evil results: sexual immorality, impure thoughts, eagerness for lustful pleasure,
- idolatry, participation in demonic activities, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, divisions, the feeling that everyone is wrong except those in your own little group,
Ephesians 4:22
- throw off your old evil nature and your former way of life, which is rotten through and through, full of lust and deception.
Romans 13:14
- But let the Lord Jesus Christ take control of you, and don't think of ways to indulge your evil desires.
1 Peter 2:10
- "Once you were not a people; now you are the people of God. Once you received none of God's mercy; now you have received his mercy."

- And what a difference between our sin and God's generous gift of forgiveness. For this one man, Adam, brought death to many through his sin. But this other man, Jesus Christ, brought forgiveness to many through God's bountiful gift.
- And the result of God's gracious gift is very different from the result of that one man's sin. For Adam's sin led to condemnation, but we have the free gift of being accepted by God, even though we are guilty of many sins.
Romans 3:9
- Well then, are we Jews better than others? No, not at all, for we have already shown that all people, whether Jews or Gentiles, are under the power of sin.
