Acts 12:17

Acts 4:13

Acts 8:14
- When the apostles back in Jerusalem heard that the people of Samaria had accepted God's message, they sent Peter and John there.
- As soon as they arrived, they prayed for these new Christians to receive the Holy Spirit.
- The Holy Spirit had not yet come upon any of them, for they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
- Then Peter and John laid their hands upon these believers, and they received the Holy Spirit.
- When Simon saw that the Holy Spirit was given when the apostles placed their hands upon people's heads, he offered money to buy this power.
John 18:25
- Meanwhile, as Simon Peter was standing by the fire, they asked him again, "Aren't you one of his disciples?I am not," he said.
- But one of the household servants of the high priest, a relative of the man whose ear Peter had cut off, asked, "Didn't I see you out there in the olive grove with Jesus?"
- Again Peter denied it. And immediately a rooster crowed.
John 12:21
- paid a visit to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee. They said, "Sir, we want to meet Jesus."
- Philip told Andrew about it, and they went together to ask Jesus.
John 13:23
- One of Jesus' disciples, the one Jesus loved, was sitting next to Jesus at the table.
- Simon Peter motioned to him to ask who would do this terrible thing.
- Leaning toward Jesus, he asked, "Lord, who is it?"
John 20:26
- Eight days later the disciples were together again, and this time Thomas was with them. The doors were locked; but suddenly, as before, Jesus was standing among them. He said, "Peace be with you."
- Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here and see my hands. Put your hand into the wound in my side. Don't be faithless any longer. Believe!"
- "My Lord and my God!" Thomas exclaimed.
- Then Jesus told him, "You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who haven't seen me and believe anyway."
Acts 9:32
- Peter traveled from place to place to visit the believers, and in his travels he came to the Lord's people in the town of Lydda.
- There he met a man named Aeneas, who had been paralyzed and bedridden for eight years.
- Peter said to him, "Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you! Get up and make your bed!" And he was healed instantly.
- Then the whole population of Lydda and Sharon turned to the Lord when they saw Aeneas walking around.
- There was a believer in Joppa named Tabitha (which in Greek is Dorcas ). She was always doing kind things for others and helping the poor.
Acts 10:9
- The next day as Cornelius's messengers were nearing the city, Peter went up to the flat roof to pray. It was about noon,
- and he was hungry. But while lunch was being prepared, he fell into a trance.
- He saw the sky open, and something like a large sheet was let down by its four corners.
- In the sheet were all sorts of animals, reptiles, and birds.
- Then a voice said to him, "Get up, Peter; kill and eat them."
John 6:5
- Jesus soon saw a great crowd of people climbing the hill, looking for him. Turning to Philip, he asked, "Philip, where can we buy bread to feed all these people?"
- He was testing Philip, for he already knew what he was going to do.
- Philip replied, "It would take a small fortune to feed them!"
Galatians 2:9
- In fact, James, Peter, and John, who were known as pillars of the church, recognized the gift God had given me, and they accepted Barnabas and me as their co-workers. They encouraged us to keep preaching to the Gentiles, while they continued their work with the Jews.

- After breakfast Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?Yes, Lord," Peter replied, "you know I love you.Then feed my lambs," Jesus told him.

- Once more he asked him, "Simon son of John, do you love me?" Peter was grieved that Jesus asked the question a third time. He said, "Lord, you know everything. You know I love you." Jesus said, "Then feed my sheep.
- The truth is, when you were young, you were able to do as you liked and go wherever you wanted to. But when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and others will direct you and take you where you don't want to go."
- Jesus said this to let him know what kind of death he would die to glorify God. Then Jesus told him, "Follow me."
Acts 15:7
- At the meeting, after a long discussion, Peter stood and addressed them as follows: "Brothers, you all know that God chose me from among you some time ago to preach to the Gentiles so that they could hear the Good News and believe.
- God, who knows people's hearts, confirmed that he accepts Gentiles by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as he gave him to us.
- He made no distinction between us and them, for he also cleansed their hearts through faith.
- Why are you now questioning God's way by burdening the Gentile believers with a yoke that neither we nor our ancestors were able to bear?
- We believe that we are all saved the same way, by the special favor of the Lord Jesus."
John 1:40
- Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, was one of these men who had heard what John said and then followed Jesus.
- The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother, Simon, and tell him, "We have found the Messiah" (which means the Christ).
- Then Andrew brought Simon to meet Jesus. Looking intently at Simon, Jesus said, "You are Simon, the son of John--but you will be called Cephas" (which means Peter ).
- The next day Jesus decided to go to Galilee. He found Philip and said to him, "Come, be my disciple."
- Philip was from Bethsaida, Andrew and Peter's hometown.
Matthew 9:9
- As Jesus was going down the road, he saw Matthew sitting at his tax-collection booth. "Come, be my disciple," Jesus said to him. So Matthew got up and followed him.
Acts 12:2
- He had the apostle James (John's brother) killed with a sword.
- When Herod saw how much this pleased the Jewish leaders, he arrested Peter during the Passover celebration
Acts 2:14

- Later, as Jesus left the town, he saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at his tax-collection booth. "Come, be my disciple!" Jesus said to him.
- So Levi got up, left everything, and followed him.
- Soon Levi held a banquet in his home with Jesus as the guest of honor. Many of Levi's fellow tax collectors and other guests were there.
1 John 1:1
- The one who existed from the beginning is the one we have heard and seen. We saw him with our own eyes and touched him with our own hands. He is Jesus Christ, the Word of life.
- This one who is life from God was shown to us, and we have seen him. And now we testify and announce to you that he is the one who is eternal life. He was with the Father, and then he was shown to us.
- We are telling you about what we ourselves have actually seen and heard, so that you may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.
- We are writing these things so that our joy will be complete.
- This is the message he has given us to announce to you: God is light and there is no darkness in him at all.
John 14:8
- Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and we will be satisfied."
- Jesus replied, "Philip, don't you even yet know who I am, even after all the time I have been with you? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking to see him?
Acts 3:1
- Peter and John went to the Temple one afternoon to take part in the three o'clock prayer service.
- As they approached the Temple, a man lame from birth was being carried in. Each day he was put beside the Temple gate, the one called the Beautiful Gate, so he could beg from the people going into the Temple.
- When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for some money.
- Peter and John looked at him intently, and Peter said, "Look at us!"
- The lame man looked at them eagerly, expecting a gift.
Mark 14:33
- He took Peter, James, and John with him, and he began to be filled with horror and deep distress.
Revelation 1:1
- This is a revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him concerning the events that will happen soon. An angel was sent to God's servant John so that John could share the revelation with God's other servants.
- John faithfully reported the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ--everything he saw.
- God blesses the one who reads this prophecy to the church, and he blesses all who listen to it and obey what it says. For the time is near when these things will happen.
Acts 4:19
- But Peter and John replied, "Do you think God wants us to obey you rather than him?

Jude 1:1
- This letter is from Jude, a slave of Jesus Christ and a brother of James. I am writing to all who are called to live in the love of God the Father and the care of Jesus Christ.
2 John 1:1
- This letter is from John the Elder. It is written to the chosen lady and to her children, whom I love in the truth, as does everyone else who knows God's truth--
- the truth that lives in us and will be in our hearts forever.
- May grace, mercy, and peace, which come from God our Father and from Jesus Christ his Son, be with us who live in truth and love.
- How happy I was to meet some of your children and find them living in the truth, just as we have been commanded by the Father.
- And now I want to urge you, dear lady, that we should love one another. This is not a new commandment, but one we had from the beginning.
1 Corinthians 15:7
- Then he was seen by James and later by all the apostles.
