6: And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is full of wickedness that can ruin your whole life. It can turn the entire course of your life into a blazing flame of destruction, for it is set on fire by hell itself.

- So God will send great deception upon them, and they will believe all these lies.
- Then they will be condemned for not believing the truth and for enjoying the evil they do.
Jude 1:8
- Yet these false teachers, who claim authority from their dreams, live immoral lives, defy authority, and scoff at the power of the glorious ones.
- But even Michael, one of the mightiest of the angels, did not dare accuse Satan of blasphemy, but simply said, "The Lord rebuke you." (This took place when Michael was arguing with Satan about Moses' body.)
- But these people mock and curse the things they do not understand. Like animals, they do whatever their instincts tell them, and they bring about their own destruction.
Matthew 12:32

Judges 16:15

- I saw that one of the heads of the beast seemed wounded beyond recovery--but the fatal wound was healed! All the world marveled at this miracle and followed the beast in awe.
- They worshiped the dragon for giving the beast such power, and they worshiped the beast. "Is there anyone as great as the beast?" they exclaimed. "Who is able to fight against him?"
- Then the beast was allowed to speak great blasphemies against God. And he was given authority to do what he wanted for forty-two months.
2 Samuel 13:26
- "Well, then," Absalom said, "if you can't come, how about sending my brother Amnon instead?Why Amnon?" the king asked.
- But Absalom kept on pressing the king until he finally agreed to let all his sons attend, including Amnon.
- Absalom told his men, "Wait until Amnon gets drunk; then at my signal, kill him! Don't be afraid. I'm the one who has given the command. Take courage and do it!"
- So at Absalom's signal they murdered Amnon. Then the other sons of the king jumped on their mules and fled.
