Galatians 4:21
21: Listen to me, you who want to live under the law. Do you know what the law really says?
Galatians 3:10
- But those who depend on the law to make them right with God are under his curse, for the Scriptures say, "Cursed is everyone who does not observe and obey all these commands that are written in God's Book of the Law."
Romans 3:19
- Obviously, the law applies to those to whom it was given, for its purpose is to keep people from having excuses and to bring the entire world into judgment before God.
Romans 10:3
- For they don't understand God's way of making people right with himself. Instead, they are clinging to their own way of getting right with God by trying to keep the law. They won't go along with God's way.
- For Christ has accomplished the whole purpose of the law. All who believe in him are made right with God.
- For Moses wrote that the law's way of making a person right with God requires obedience to all of its commands.
- But the way of getting right with God through faith says, "You don't need to go to heaven" (to find Christ and bring him down to help you).
- And it says, "You don't need to go to the place of the dead" (to bring Christ back to life again).
Galatians 3:23
- Until faith in Christ was shown to us as the way of becoming right with God, we were guarded by the law. We were kept in protective custody, so to speak, until we could put our faith in the coming Savior.
- Let me put it another way. The law was our guardian and teacher to lead us until Christ came. So now, through faith in Christ, we are made right with God.
Matthew 22:29
- Jesus replied, "Your problem is that you don't know the Scriptures, and you don't know the power of God.
- For when the dead rise, they won't be married. They will be like the angels in heaven.

Romans 7:5

- And now that you have found God (or should I say, now that God has found you), why do you want to go back again and become slaves once more to the weak and useless spiritual powers of this world?
Romans 9:30
- Well then, what shall we say about these things? Just this: The Gentiles have been made right with God by faith, even though they were not seeking him.
- But the Jews, who tried so hard to get right with God by keeping the law, never succeeded.
- Why not? Because they were trying to get right with God by keeping the law and being good instead of by depending on faith. They stumbled over the great rock in their path.
