Galatians 3:14
14: Through the work of Christ Jesus, God has blessed the Gentiles with the same blessing he promised to Abraham, and we Christians receive the promised Holy Spirit through faith.
Galatians 3:28
- There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male or female. For you are all Christians--you are one in Christ Jesus.
- And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and now all the promises God gave to him belong to you.

- The real children of Abraham, then, are all those who put their faith in God.
- What's more, the Scriptures looked forward to this time when God would accept the Gentiles, too, on the basis of their faith. God promised this good news to Abraham long ago when he said, "All nations will be blessed through you."
- And so it is: All who put their faith in Christ share the same blessing Abraham received because of his faith.
Ephesians 4:30
- And do not bring sorrow to God's Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he is the one who has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption.

- The LORD will comfort Israel again and make her deserts blossom. Her barren wilderness will become as beautiful as Eden--the garden of the LORD. Joy and gladness will be found there. Lovely songs of thanksgiving will fill the air.
Ephesians 1:13
- And now you also have heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago.
- The Spirit is God's guarantee that he will give us everything he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. This is just one more reason for us to praise our glorious God.
Ezekiel 39:29
- And I will never again turn my back on them, for I will pour out my Spirit upon them, says the Sovereign LORD."
Ezekiel 36:26
- And I will give you a new heart with new and right desires, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony heart of sin and give you a new, obedient heart.
- And I will put my Spirit in you so you will obey my laws and do whatever I command.

Galatians 3:16
- God gave the promise to Abraham and his child. And notice that it doesn't say the promise was to his children, as if it meant many descendants. But the promise was to his child--and that, of course, means Christ.

- Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They all have the same Lord, who generously gives his riches to all who ask for them.
- For "Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
