Galatians 2:8
8: For the same God who worked through Peter for the benefit of the Jews worked through me for the benefit of the Gentiles.
Acts 2:14
- Then Peter stepped forward with the eleven other apostles and shouted to the crowd, "Listen carefully, all of you, fellow Jews and residents of Jerusalem! Make no mistake about this.
- Some of you are saying these people are drunk. It isn't true! It's much too early for that. People don't get drunk by nine o'clock in the morning.
- No, what you see this morning was predicted centuries ago by the prophet Joel:
- 'In the last days, God said, I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.
- In those days I will pour out my Spirit upon all my servants, men and women alike, and they will prophesy.
1 Corinthians 15:10
- But whatever I am now, it is all because God poured out his special favor on me--and not without results. For I have worked harder than all the other apostles, yet it was not I but God who was working through me by his grace.
Acts 13:2
- One day as these men were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Dedicate Barnabas and Saul for the special work I have for them."
- So after more fasting and prayer, the men laid their hands on them and sent them on their way.
- Sent out by the Holy Spirit, Saul and Barnabas went down to the seaport of Seleucia and then sailed for the island of Cyprus.
- There, in the town of Salamis, they went to the Jewish synagogues and preached the word of God. (John Mark went with them as their assistant.)
- Afterward they preached from town to town across the entire island until finally they reached Paphos, where they met a Jewish sorcerer, a false prophet named Bar-Jesus.
Acts 5:12
- Meanwhile, the apostles were performing many miraculous signs and wonders among the people. And the believers were meeting regularly at the Temple in the area known as Solomon's Colonnade.
- No one else dared to join them, though everyone had high regard for them.
- And more and more people believed and were brought to the Lord--crowds of both men and women.
- As a result of the apostles' work, sick people were brought out into the streets on beds and mats so that Peter's shadow might fall across some of them as he went by.
- Crowds came in from the villages around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those possessed by evil spirits, and they were all healed.
Acts 14:3
- The apostles stayed there a long time, preaching boldly about the grace of the Lord. The Lord proved their message was true by giving them power to do miraculous signs and wonders.
- But the people of the city were divided in their opinion about them. Some sided with the Jews, and some with the apostles.
- A mob of Gentiles and Jews, along with their leaders, decided to attack and stone them.
- When the apostles learned of it, they fled for their lives. They went to the region of Lycaonia, to the cities of Lystra and Derbe and the surrounding area,
- and they preached the Good News there.
Acts 8:17
- Then Peter and John laid their hands upon these believers, and they received the Holy Spirit.
Acts 19:11
- God gave Paul the power to do unusual miracles,
- so that even when handkerchiefs or cloths that had touched his skin were placed on sick people, they were healed of their diseases, and any evil spirits within them came out.
Acts 21:19
- After greetings were exchanged, Paul gave a detailed account of the things God had accomplished among the Gentiles through his ministry.

- "The name of Jesus has healed this man--and you know how lame he was before. Faith in Jesus' name has caused this healing before your very eyes.
Acts 1:8
- But when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power and will tell people about me everywhere--in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
2 Corinthians 11:4
- You seem to believe whatever anyone tells you, even if they preach about a different Jesus than the one we preach, or a different Spirit than the one you received, or a different kind of gospel than the one you believed.
- But I don't think I am inferior to these "super apostles."
Acts 19:26
- As you have seen and heard, this man Paul has persuaded many people that handmade gods aren't gods at all. And this is happening not only here in Ephesus but throughout the entire province!

- I work very hard at this, as I depend on Christ's mighty power that works within me.

- I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law of Moses? Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about Christ.

- This shows that what I told you about Christ is true.
- Now you have every spiritual gift you need as you eagerly wait for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
