2: "And on that day, says the LORD Almighty, I will get rid of every trace of idol worship throughout the land, so that even the names of the idols will be forgotten. I will remove from the land all false prophets and the unclean spirits that inspire them.

1 Kings 22:22

  3. In their greed they will make up clever lies to get hold of your money. But God condemned them long ago, and their destruction is on the way.

Zephaniah 1:3

  1. "I will sweep away both people and animals alike. Even the birds of the air and the fish in the sea will die. I will reduce the wicked to heaps of rubble, along with the rest of humanity," says the LORD.
  2. "I will crush Judah and Jerusalem with my fist and destroy every last trace of their Baal worship. I will put an end to all the idolatrous priests, so that even the memory of them will disappear.

2 Corinthians 11:13

  1. These people are false apostles. They have fooled you by disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.
  2. But I am not surprised! Even Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light.
  3. So it is no wonder his servants can also do it by pretending to be godly ministers. In the end they will get every bit of punishment their wicked deeds deserve.

Deuteronomy 12:3

  1. Break down their altars and smash their sacred pillars. Burn their Asherah poles and cut down their carved idols. Erase the names of their gods from those places!

Ezekiel 37:23

  1. They will stop polluting themselves with their detestable idols and other sins, for I will save them from their sinful backsliding. I will cleanse them. Then they will truly be my people, and I will be their God.

Revelation 19:20

And the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who did mighty miracles on behalf of the beast--miracles that deceived all who had accepted the mark of the beast and who worshiped his statue. Revelation 20:1

  1. Then I saw an angel come down from heaven with the key to the bottomless pit and a heavy chain in his hand.
  2. He seized the dragon--that old serpent, the Devil, Satan--and bound him in chains for a thousand years.
  3. The angel threw him into the bottomless pit, which he then shut and locked so Satan could not deceive the nations anymore until the thousand years were finished. Afterward he would be released again for a little while.
