19: So Solomon made all the furnishings for the Temple of God: the gold altar; the tables for the Bread of the Presence;

The king also took home to Babylon all the utensils, large and small, used in the Temple of God, and the treasures from both the LORD's Temple and the royal palace. He also took with him all the royal princes.

King Cyrus himself brought out the valuable items which King Nebuchadnezzar had taken from the LORD's Temple in Jerusalem and had placed in the temple of his own gods.
Cyrus directed Mithredath, the treasurer of Persia, to count these items and present them to Sheshbazzar, the leader of the exiles returning to Judah.
These were the items Cyrus donated: gold trays............. 30 silver trays.......... 1,000 silver censers......... 29
gold bowls............ 30 silver bowls.......... 410 other items.......... 1,000
In all, 5,400 gold and silver items were turned over to Sheshbazzar to take back to Jerusalem when the exiles returned there from Babylon.

"You must bake twelve loaves of bread from choice flour, using three quarts of flour for each loaf.
Place the bread in the LORD's presence on the pure gold table, and arrange the loaves in two rows, with six in each row.
Sprinkle some pure frankincense near each row. It will serve as a token offering, to be burned in place of the bread as an offering given to the LORD by fire.
Every Sabbath day this bread must be laid out before the LORD on behalf of the Israelites as a continual part of the covenant.

But when he had become powerful, he also became proud, which led to his downfall. He sinned against the LORD his God by entering the sanctuary of the LORD's Temple and personally burning incense on the altar.
Azariah the high priest went in after him with eighty other priests of the LORD, all brave men.
They confronted King Uzziah and said, "It is not for you, Uzziah, to burn incense to the LORD. That is the work of the priests alone, the sons of Aaron who are set apart for this work. Get out of the sanctuary, for you have sinned. The LORD God will not honor you for this!"

He also built ten tables and placed them in the Temple, five along the south wall and five along the north wall. Then he molded one hundred gold basins.

The Babylonians broke up the bronze pillars, the bronze water carts, and the bronze Sea that were at the LORD's Temple, and they carried all the bronze away to Babylon.
They also took all the pots, shovels, lamp snuffers, dishes, and all the other bronze utensils used for making sacrifices at the Temple.
Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, also took the firepans and basins, and all the other utensils made of pure gold or silver.

Then another angel with a gold incense burner came and stood at the altar. And a great quantity of incense was given to him to mix with the prayers of God's people, to be offered on the gold altar before the throne.

For you have defied the Lord of heaven and have had these cups from his Temple brought before you. You and your nobles and your wives and concubines have been drinking wine from them while praising gods of silver, gold, bronze, iron, wood, and stone--gods that neither see nor hear nor know anything at all. But you have not honored the God who gives you the breath of life and controls your destiny!

Within two years, I will bring back all the Temple treasures that King Nebuchadnezzar carried off to Babylon.

While Belshazzar was drinking, he gave orders to bring in the gold and silver cups that his predecessor, Nebuchadnezzar, had taken from the Temple in Jerusalem, so that he and his nobles, his wives, and his concubines might drink from them.
So they brought these gold cups taken from the Temple of God in Jerusalem, and the king and his nobles, his wives, and his concubines drank from them.

In the spring of the following year, Jehoiachin was summoned to Babylon by King Nebuchadnezzar. Many treasures from the Temple of the LORD were taken to Babylon at that time. And Nebuchadnezzar appointed Jehoiachin's uncle, Zedekiah, to be the next king in Judah and Jerusalem.

He designated the amount of gold for the table on which the Bread of the Presence would be placed and the amount of silver for other tables.

The incense altar was made of acacia wood. It was eighteen inches square and three feet high, with its corner horns made from the same piece of wood as the altar itself.
He overlaid the top, sides, and horns of the altar with pure gold and ran a gold molding around the edge.
Two gold rings were placed on opposite sides, beneath the molding, to hold the carrying poles.
The carrying poles were made of acacia wood and were overlaid with gold.
Then he made the sacred oil, for anointing the priests, and the fragrant incense, using the techniques of the most skilled incense maker.

"Then make a table of acacia wood, 3 feet long, 1 1/2 feet wide, and 2 1/4 feet high.
Overlay it with pure gold and run a molding of gold around it.
Put a rim about three inches wide around the top edge, and put a gold molding all around the rim.
Make four gold rings, and put the rings at the four corners by the four legs,
close to the rim around the top. These rings will support the poles used to carry the table.

As the LORD had said beforehand, Nebuchadnezzar carried away all the treasures from the LORD's Temple and the royal palace. They cut apart all the gold vessels that King Solomon of Israel had placed in the Temple.

"Then make a small altar out of acacia wood for burning incense.
It must be eighteen inches square and three feet high, with horns at the corners carved from the same piece of wood as the altar.
Overlay the top, sides, and horns of the altar with pure gold, and run a gold molding around the entire altar.
Beneath the molding, on opposite sides of the altar, attach two gold rings to support the carrying poles.
The poles are to be made of acacia wood and overlaid with gold.

Then the sixth angel blew his trumpet, and I heard a voice speaking from the four horns of the gold altar that stands in the presence of God.

They also took all the pots, shovels, lamp snuffers, basins, dishes, and all the other bronze utensils used for making sacrifices at the Temple.
Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, also took the small bowls, firepans, basins, pots, lampstands, dishes, bowls used for drink offerings, and all the other utensils made of pure gold or silver.

So Solomon made all the furnishings of the Temple of the LORD: the gold altar, the gold table for the Bread of the Presence,
the gold lampstands, five on the south and five on the north, in front of the Most Holy Place, the flower decorations, lamps, and tongs, all of gold,
the cups, lamp snuffers, basins, dishes, and firepans, all of pure gold, the doors for the entrances to the Most Holy Place and the main room of the Temple, with their fronts overlaid with gold.
