3: Then another angel with a gold incense burner came and stood at the altar. And a great quantity of incense was given to him to mix with the prayers of God's people, to be offered on the gold altar before the throne.

- Azariah the high priest went in after him with eighty other priests of the LORD, all brave men.

Exodus 37:25

Numbers 16:46

- Aaron did as Moses told him and ran out among the people. The plague indeed had already begun, but Aaron burned the incense and made atonement for them.

- Then he said, "I am the God of your ancestors--the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob." When Moses heard this, he hid his face in his hands because he was afraid to look at God.
Hebrews 10:19
- And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven's Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus.
- This is the new, life-giving way that Christ has opened up for us through the sacred curtain, by means of his death for us.
- And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God's people,
- let us go right into the presence of God, with true hearts fully trusting him. For our evil consciences have been sprinkled with Christ's blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.
