22: For those will be days of God's vengeance, and the prophetic words of the Scriptures will be fulfilled.
Isaiah 65:12
- I will `destine' you to the sword. All of you will bow before the executioner, for when I called, you did not answer. When I spoke, you did not listen. You deliberately sinned--before my very eyes--and chose to do what you know I despise."
- Therefore, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: "You will starve, but my servants will eat. You will be thirsty, but they will drink. You will be sad and ashamed, but they will rejoice.
- You will cry in sorrow and despair, while my servants sing for joy.

- "But if you refuse to listen to the LORD your God and do not obey all the commands and laws I am giving you today, all these curses will come and overwhelm you:
- You will be cursed in your towns and in the country.
- You will be cursed with baskets empty of fruit, and with kneading bowls empty of bread.

- You will be cursed wherever you go, both in coming and in going.
Psalms 149:7

Zechariah 14:1

Deuteronomy 29:19

- The LORD will not pardon such people. His anger and jealousy will burn against them. All the curses written in this book will come down on them, and the LORD will erase their names from under heaven.

- and if you break my covenant by rejecting my laws and treating my regulations with contempt,
- I will punish you. You will suffer from sudden terrors, with wasting diseases, and with burning fevers, causing your eyes to fail and your life to ebb away. You will plant your crops in vain because your enemies will eat them.
- I will turn against you, and you will be defeated by all your enemies. They will rule over you, and you will run even when no one is chasing you!
- "And if, in spite of this, you still disobey me, I will punish you for your sins seven times over.
Malachi 4:1
- The LORD Almighty says, "The day of judgment is coming, burning like a furnace. The arrogant and the wicked will be burned up like straw on that day. They will be consumed like a tree--roots and all.
