1: Early Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance.
Matthew 27:60
- He placed it in his own new tomb, which had been carved out of the rock. Then he rolled a great stone across the entrance as he left.
Mark 15:46
- Joseph bought a long sheet of linen cloth, and taking Jesus' body down from the cross, he wrapped it in the cloth and laid it in a tomb that had been carved out of the rock. Then he rolled a stone in front of the entrance.

- So we request that you seal the tomb until the third day. This will prevent his disciples from coming and stealing his body and then telling everyone he came back to life! If that happens, we'll be worse off than we were at first."
- Pilate replied, "Take guards and secure it the best you can."
- So they sealed the tomb and posted guards to protect it.
- Early on Sunday morning, as the new day was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went out to see the tomb.
- Suddenly there was a great earthquake, because an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and rolled aside the stone and sat on it.
Revelation 1:10
- It was the Lord's Day, and I was worshiping in the Spirit. Suddenly, I heard a loud voice behind me, a voice that sounded like a trumpet blast.
