John 15:19
19: The world would love you if you belonged to it, but you don't. I chose you to come out of the world, and so it hates you.
John 17:14
- I have given them your word. And the world hates them because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not.
- I'm not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one.
- They are not part of this world any more than I am.
1 John 4:4

- He declared us not guilty because of his great kindness. And now we know that we will inherit eternal life.
1 John 5:19
- We know that we are children of God and that the world around us is under the power and control of the evil one.
- And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. And now we are in God because we are in his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life.
Ephesians 2:2
- You used to live just like the rest of the world, full of sin, obeying Satan, the mighty prince of the power of the air. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God.
- All of us used to live that way, following the passions and desires of our evil nature. We were born with an evil nature, and we were under God's anger just like everyone else.

- that even while we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God's special favor that you have been saved!)
