24: The truth is, a kernel of wheat must be planted in the soil. Unless it dies it will be alone--a single seed. But its death will produce many new kernels--a plentiful harvest of new lives.

1 Corinthians 15:36

  1. What a foolish question! When you put a seed into the ground, it doesn't grow into a plant unless it dies first.
  2. And what you put in the ground is not the plant that will grow, but only a dry little seed of wheat or whatever it is you are planting.
  3. Then God gives it a new body--just the kind he wants it to have. A different kind of plant grows from each kind of seed.

Isaiah 53:10

Hebrews 2:9

  1. What we do see is Jesus, who "for a little while was made lower than the angels" and now is "crowned with glory and honor" because he suffered death for us. Yes, by God's grace, Jesus tasted death for everyone in all the world.
  2. And it was only right that God--who made everything and for whom everything was made--should bring his many children into glory. Through the suffering of Jesus, God made him a perfect leader, one fit to bring them into their salvation.

Psalms 22:22
