3: That is why he has to offer sacrifices, both for their sins and for his own sins.
Hebrews 7:27
- He does not need to offer sacrifices every day like the other high priests. They did this for their own sins first and then for the sins of the people. But Jesus did this once for all when he sacrificed himself on the cross.
Leviticus 9:7

- Then take the carcass (including the skin and the dung) outside the camp, and burn it as a sin offering.
- "Next Aaron and his sons must lay their hands on the head of one of the rams
- as it is slaughtered. Its blood will be collected and sprinkled on the sides of the altar.
Leviticus 4:3
- "If the high priest sins, bringing guilt upon the entire community, he must bring to the LORD a young bull with no physical defects.
- He must present the bull to the LORD at the entrance of the Tabernacle, lay his hand on the bull's head, and slaughter it there in the LORD's presence.
- The priest on duty will then take some of the animal's blood into the Tabernacle,
- dip his finger into the blood, and sprinkle it seven times before the LORD in front of the inner curtain of the Most Holy Place.
- The priest will put some of the blood on the horns of the incense altar that stands in the LORD's presence in the Tabernacle. The rest of the bull's blood must be poured out at the base of the altar of burnt offerings at the entrance of the Tabernacle.
