Hebrews 1:1
1: Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets.
2 Peter 1:20
- Above all, you must understand that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophets themselves
- or because they wanted to prophesy. It was the Holy Spirit who moved the prophets to speak from God.
Numbers 12:6
- And the LORD said to them, "Now listen to me! Even with prophets, I the LORD communicate by visions and dreams.
- But that is not how I communicate with my servant Moses. He is entrusted with my entire house.
- I speak to him face to face, directly and not in riddles! He sees the LORD as he is. Should you not be afraid to criticize him?"
Joel 2:28

1 Peter 1:10
- This salvation was something the prophets wanted to know more about. They prophesied about this gracious salvation prepared for you, even though they had many questions as to what it all could mean.
- They wondered what the Spirit of Christ within them was talking about when he told them in advance about Christ's suffering and his great glory afterward. They wondered when and to whom all this would happen.
- They were told that these things would not happen during their lifetime, but many years later, during yours. And now this Good News has been announced by those who preached to you in the power of the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. It is all so wonderful that even the angels are eagerly watching these things happen.
Luke 24:27
- Then Jesus quoted passages from the writings of Moses and all the prophets, explaining what all the Scriptures said about himself.

Exodus 3:1

- "Do not come any closer," God told him. "Take off your sandals, for you are standing on holy ground."
Genesis 28:12
- As he slept, he dreamed of a stairway that reached from earth to heaven. And he saw the angels of God going up and down on it.
- At the top of the stairway stood the LORD, and he said, "I am the LORD, the God of your grandfather Abraham and the God of your father, Isaac. The ground you are lying on belongs to you. I will give it to you and your descendants.
- Your descendants will be as numerous as the dust of the earth! They will cover the land from east to west and from north to south. All the families of the earth will be blessed through you and your descendants.
- What's more, I will be with you, and I will protect you wherever you go. I will someday bring you safely back to this land. I will be with you constantly until I have finished giving you everything I have promised."
Genesis 8:15
- Then God said to Noah,
- "Leave the boat, all of you.
- Release all the animals and birds so they can breed and reproduce in great numbers."
- So Noah, his wife, and his sons and their wives left the boat.
- And all the various kinds of animals and birds came out, pair by pair.
Genesis 9:1
- God blessed Noah and his sons and told them, "Multiply and fill the earth.
- All the wild animals, large and small, and all the birds and fish will be afraid of you. I have placed them in your power.
- I have given them to you for food, just as I have given you grain and vegetables.
- But you must never eat animals that still have their lifeblood in them.
- And murder is forbidden. Animals that kill people must die, and any person who murders must be killed.
Acts 28:23
- So a time was set, and on that day a large number of people came to Paul's house. He told them about the Kingdom of God and taught them about Jesus from the Scriptures--from the five books of Moses and the books of the prophets. He began lecturing in the morning and went on into the evening.

John 7:22
- But you work on the Sabbath, too, when you obey Moses' law of circumcision. (Actually, this tradition of circumcision is older than the law of Moses; it goes back to Abraham.)
