Galatians 3:4
4: You have suffered so much for the Good News. Surely it was not in vain, was it? Are you now going to just throw it all away?
2 John 1:8
- Watch out, so that you do not lose the prize for which we have been working so hard. Be diligent so that you will receive your full reward.
Hebrews 10:32
- Don't ever forget those early days when you first learned about Christ. Remember how you remained faithful even though it meant terrible suffering.
- Sometimes you were exposed to public ridicule and were beaten, and sometimes you helped others who were suffering the same things.
- You suffered along with those who were thrown into jail. When all you owned was taken from you, you accepted it with joy. You knew you had better things waiting for you in eternity.
- Do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord, no matter what happens. Remember the great reward it brings you!
- Patient endurance is what you need now, so you will continue to do God's will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.
1 Corinthians 15:2
- And it is this Good News that saves you if you firmly believe it--unless, of course, you believed something that was never true in the first place.
Hebrews 6:4
- For it is impossible to restore to repentance those who were once enlightened--those who have experienced the good things of heaven and shared in the Holy Spirit,
- who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the power of the age to come--
- and who then turn away from God. It is impossible to bring such people to repentance again because they are nailing the Son of God to the cross again by rejecting him, holding him up to public shame.
Ezekiel 18:24
- However, if righteous people turn to sinful ways and start acting like other sinners, should they be allowed to live? No, of course not! All their previous goodness will be forgotten, and they will die for their sins.
