Colossians 1:27
27: For it has pleased God to tell his people that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. For this is the secret: Christ lives in you, and this is your assurance that you will share in his glory.

- I was chosen to explain to everyone this plan that God, the Creator of all things, had kept secret from the beginning.
- God's purpose was to show his wisdom in all its rich variety to all the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms. They will see this when Jews and Gentiles are joined together in his church.
1 Corinthians 2:12
- And God has actually given us his Spirit (not the world's spirit) so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us.
- When we tell you this, we do not use words of human wisdom. We speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit's words to explain spiritual truths.
- But people who aren't Christians can't understand these truths from God's Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them because only those who have the Spirit can understand what the Spirit means.
