9: May your kisses be as exciting as the best wine, smooth and sweet, flowing gently over lips and teeth. "

His mouth is altogether sweet; he is lovely in every way. Such, O women of Jerusalem, is my lover, my friend.

Don't use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.

And I heard a voice from heaven saying, "Write this down: Blessed are those who die in the Lord from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, they are blessed indeed, for they will rest from all their toils and trials; for their good deeds follow them!"

And now, brothers and sisters, I want you to know what will happen to the Christians who have died so you will not be full of sorrow like people who have no hope.
For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus comes, God will bring back with Jesus all the Christians who have died.

One night as I was sleeping, my heart awakened in a dream. I heard the voice of my lover. He was knocking at my bedroom door. `Open to me, my darling, my treasure, my lovely dove, he said, `for I have been out in the night. My head is soaked with dew, my hair with the wetness of the night.

The LORD Almighty will protect his people, and they will subdue their enemies with sling stones. They will shout in battle as though drunk with wine, shedding the blood of their enemies. They will be filled with blood like a bowl, drenched with blood like the corners of the altar.
When that day arrives, the LORD their God will rescue his people, just as a shepherd rescues his sheep. They will sparkle in his land like jewels in a crown.
How wonderful and beautiful they will be! The young men and women will thrive on the abundance of grain and new wine.

Let the words of Christ, in all their richness, live in your hearts and make you wise. Use his words to teach and counsel each other. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.
And whatever you do or say, let it be as a representative of the Lord Jesus, all the while giving thanks through him to God the Father.

Cretans, and Arabians. And we all hear these people speaking in our own languages about the wonderful things God has done!"
They stood there amazed and perplexed. "What can this mean?" they asked each other.
But others in the crowd were mocking. "They're drunk, that's all!" they said.

Let your conversation be gracious and effective so that you will have the right answer for everyone.

Another reason for right living is that you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for the coming of our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.

After this prayer, the building where they were meeting shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. And they preached God's message with boldness.
All the believers were of one heart and mind, and they felt that what they owned was not their own; they shared everything they had.

With Jesus' help, let us continually offer our sacrifice of praise to God by proclaiming the glory of his name.

The LORD has sworn to Jerusalem by his own strength: "I will never again hand you over to your enemies. Never again will foreign warriors come and take away your grain and wine.
You raised it, and you will keep it, praising the LORD. Within the courtyards of the Temple, you yourselves will drink the wine that you have pressed."

My dove is hiding behind some rocks, behind an outcrop on the cliff. Let me see you; let me hear your voice. For your voice is pleasant, and you are lovely.

He brought them out and asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"
They replied, "Believe on the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with your entire household."
Then they shared the word of the Lord with him and all who lived in his household.
That same hour the jailer washed their wounds, and he and everyone in his household were immediately baptized.
Then he brought them into his house and set a meal before them. He and his entire household rejoiced because they all believed in God.

They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord's Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity--
all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their group those who were being saved.
