3: So while her husband is alive, she would be committing adultery if she married another man. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law and does not commit adultery when she remarries.

Numbers 5:13

John 8:3

  1. As he was speaking, the teachers of religious law and Pharisees brought a woman they had caught in the act of adultery. They put her in front of the crowd.
  2. "Teacher," they said to Jesus, "this woman was caught in the very act of adultery.
  3. The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?"

Leviticus 20:10

  1. "If a man commits adultery with another man's wife, both the man and the woman must be put to death.
