Romans 15:20 Cross References
Romans 15:20
20: My ambition has always been to preach the Good News where the name of Christ has never been heard, rather than where a church has already been started by someone else.
2 Corinthians 10:13
- But we will not boast of authority we do not have. Our goal is to stay within the boundaries of God's plan for us, and this plan includes our working there with you.
- We are not going too far when we claim authority over you, for we were the first to travel all the way to you with the Good News of Christ.
- Nor do we claim credit for the work someone else has done. Instead, we hope that your faith will grow and that our work among you will be greatly enlarged.
- Then we will be able to go and preach the Good News in other places that are far beyond you, where no one else is working. Then there will be no question about being in someone else's territory.
Ephesians 2:20
- We are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself.
- We who believe are carefully joined together, becoming a holy temple for the Lord.
- Through him you Gentiles are also joined together as part of this dwelling where God lives by his Spirit.
1 Corinthians 3:9
- We work together as partners who belong to God. You are God's field, God's building--not ours.
- Because of God's special favor to me, I have laid the foundation like an expert builder. Now others are building on it. But whoever is building on this foundation must be very careful.
- For no one can lay any other foundation than the one we already have--Jesus Christ.
- Now anyone who builds on that foundation may use gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay, or straw.
- But there is going to come a time of testing at the judgment day to see what kind of work each builder has done. Everyone's work will be put through the fire to see whether or not it keeps its value.
