Psalms 44:7

7: It is you who gives us victory over our enemies; it is you who humbles those who hate us.

No one will be able to stand their ground against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you.

O God, don't sit idly by, silent and inactive!
Don't you hear the tumult of your enemies? Don't you see what your arrogant enemies are doing?
They devise crafty schemes against your people, laying plans against your precious ones.
"Come," they say, "let us wipe out Israel as a nation. We will destroy the very memory of its existence."
This was their unanimous decision. They signed a treaty as allies against you--

May those who try to destroy me be humiliated and put to shame. May those who take delight in my trouble be turned back in disgrace.

But then terror will grip them, terror like they have never known before. God will scatter the bones of your enemies. You will put them to shame, for God has rejected them.

"Do not be afraid of them," the LORD said to Joshua, "for I will give you victory over them. Not a single one of them will be able to stand up to you."
Joshua traveled all night from Gilgal and took the Amorite armies by surprise.
The LORD threw them into a panic, and the Israelites slaughtered them in great numbers at Gibeon. Then the Israelites chased the enemy along the road to Beth-horon and attacked them at Azekah and Makkedah, killing them along the way.

"Plead with the LORD our God to save us from the Philistines!" they begged Samuel.
So Samuel took a young lamb and offered it to the LORD as a whole burnt offering. He pleaded with the LORD to help Israel, and the LORD answered.
Just as Samuel was sacrificing the burnt offering, the Philistines arrived for battle. But the LORD spoke with a mighty voice of thunder from heaven, and the Philistines were thrown into such confusion that the Israelites defeated them.
The men of Israel chased them from Mizpah to Beth-car, slaughtering them all along the way.
Samuel then took a large stone and placed it between the towns of Mizpah and Jeshanah. He named it Ebenezer--"the stone of help"--for he said, "Up to this point the LORD has helped us!"

In a single campaign Joshua conquered all these kings and their land, for the LORD, the God of Israel, was fighting for his people.

And everyone will know that the LORD does not need weapons to rescue his people. It is his battle, not ours. The LORD will give you to us!"

But the LORD told Gideon, "There are still too many! Bring them down to the spring, and I will sort out who will go with you and who will not."
When Gideon took his warriors down to the water, the LORD told him, "Divide the men into two groups. In one group put all those who cup water in their hands and lap it up with their tongues like dogs. In the other group put all those who kneel down and drink with their mouths in the stream."
Only three hundred of the men drank from their hands. All the others got down on their knees and drank with their mouths in the stream.
The LORD told Gideon, "With these three hundred men I will rescue you and give you victory over the Midianites. Send all the others home."

Whenever the LORD placed a judge over Israel, he was with that judge and rescued the people from their enemies throughout the judge's lifetime. For the LORD took pity on his people, who were burdened by oppression and suffering.

"Let's go across to see those pagans," Jonathan said to his armor bearer. "Perhaps the LORD will help us, for nothing can hinder the LORD. He can win a battle whether he has many warriors or only a few!"
"Do what you think is best," the youth replied. "I'm with you completely, whatever you decide."
"All right then," Jonathan told him. "We will cross over and let them see us.
If they say to us, `Stay where you are or we'll kill you,' then we will stop and not go up to them.
But if they say, `Come on up and fight,' then we will go up. That will be the LORD's sign that he will help us defeat them."

"For the LORD has driven out great and powerful nations for you, and no one has yet been able to defeat you.
Each one of you will put to flight a thousand of the enemy, for the LORD your God fights for you, just as he has promised.

Then the LORD said to Joshua, "Do not be afraid of them. By this time tomorrow they will all be dead. Cripple their horses and burn their chariots."

And I have provided a permanent homeland for my people Israel, a secure place where they will never be disturbed. It will be their own land where wicked nations won't oppress them as they did in the past,
