Psalms 15:3

3: Those who refuse to slander others or harm their neighbors or speak evil of their friends.

"Do for others what you would like them to do for you. This is a summary of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.

"Do not spread slanderous gossip among your people. "Do not try to get ahead at the cost of your neighbor's life, for I am the LORD.

I will not tolerate people who slander their neighbors. I will not endure conceit and pride.
I will keep a protective eye on the godly, so they may dwell with me in safety. Only those who are above reproach will be allowed to serve me.
I will not allow deceivers to serve me, and liars will not be allowed to enter my presence.
My daily task will be to ferret out criminals and free the city of the LORD from their grip.

Don't speak evil against each other, my dear brothers and sisters. If you criticize each other and condemn each other, then you are criticizing and condemning God's law. But you are not a judge who can decide whether the law is right or wrong. Your job is to obey it.

Dear friend, don't let this bad example influence you. Follow only what is good. Remember that those who do good prove that they are God's children, and those who do evil prove that they do not know God.

"Do not pass along false reports. Do not cooperate with evil people by telling lies on the witness stand.
"Do not join a crowd that intends to do evil. When you are on the witness stand, do not be swayed in your testimony by the opinion of the majority.
And do not slant your testimony in favor of a person just because that person is poor.
"If you come upon your enemy's ox or donkey that has strayed away, take it back to its owner.
If you see the donkey of someone who hates you struggling beneath a heavy load, do not walk by. Instead, stop and offer to help.

"Beware of your neighbor! Beware of your brother! They all take advantage of one another and spread their slanderous lies.
They all fool and defraud each other; no one tells the truth. With practiced tongues they tell lies; they wear themselves out with all their sinning.
They pile lie upon lie and utterly refuse to come to me," says the LORD.
Therefore, the LORD Almighty says, "See, I will melt them in a crucible and test them like metal. What else can I do with them?
For their tongues aim lies like poisoned arrows. They promise peace to their neighbors while planning to kill them.

No one can discover the height of heaven, the depth of the earth, or all that goes on in the king's mind!

Blessed are those who are careful to do this. Blessed are those who honor my Sabbath days of rest by refusing to work. And blessed are those who keep themselves from doing wrong.

So get rid of all malicious behavior and deceit. Don't just pretend to be good! Be done with hypocrisy and jealousy and backstabbing.
You must crave pure spiritual milk so that you can grow into the fullness of your salvation. Cry out for this nourishment as a baby cries for milk,

They must not speak evil of anyone, and they must avoid quarreling. Instead, they should be gentle and show true humility to everyone.

They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. They are forever inventing new ways of sinning and are disobedient to their parents.

Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable.

Look, my father, at what I have in my hand. It is a piece of your robe! I cut it off, but I didn't kill you. This proves that I am not trying to harm you and that I have not sinned against you, even though you have been hunting for me to kill me.
