Genesis 46:12
- The sons of Judah were Er, Onan, Shelah, Perez, and Zerah. (But Er and Onan had died in the land of Canaan.) The sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul.
Genesis 38:1
- About this time, Judah left home and moved to Adullam, where he visited a man named Hirah.
- There he met a Canaanite woman, the daughter of Shua, and he married her.
- She became pregnant and had a son, and Judah named the boy Er.
