Numbers 16:9

  1. Does it seem a small thing to you that the God of Israel has chosen you from among all the people of Israel to be near him as you serve in the LORD's Tabernacle and to stand before the people to minister to them?
  2. He has given this special ministry only to you and your fellow Levites, but now you are demanding the priesthood as well!

  3. Listen to the filth that comes from their mouths, the piercing swords that fly from their lips. "Who can hurt us?" they sneer.
  4. But LORD, you laugh at them. You scoff at all the hostile nations.
  5. You are my strength; I wait for you to rescue me, for you, O God, are my place of safety.
