45: They performed the service of their God and the service of purification, as required by the laws of David and his son Solomon, and so did the singers and the gatekeepers.

1 Chronicles 25:1

  5. All these were the sons of Heman, the king's seer, for God had honored him with fourteen sons and three daughters.

1 Chronicles 23:28

  1. The work of the Levites was to assist the priests, the descendants of Aaron, as they served at the house of the LORD. They also took care of the courtyards and side rooms, helped perform the ceremonies of purification, and served in many other ways in the house of God.

2 Chronicles 23:6

  1. Remember, only the priests and Levites on duty may enter the Temple of the LORD, for they are set apart as holy. The rest of the people must obey the LORD's instructions and stay outside.
