20: Meanwhile, the leading priests and other leaders persuaded the crowds to ask for Barabbas to be released and for Jesus to be put to death.
Acts 3:14
- You rejected this holy, righteous one and instead demanded the release of a murderer.
- You killed the author of life, but God raised him to life. And we are witnesses of this fact!

I'm also concerned that the temple of the great goddess Artemis will lose its influence and that Artemis--this magnificent goddess worshiped throughout the province of Asia and all around the world--will be robbed of her prestige!"
Acts 14:18
- But even so, Paul and Barnabas could scarcely restrain the people from sacrificing to them.
- Now some Jews arrived from Antioch and Iconium and turned the crowds into a murderous mob. They stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, apparently dead.
