39: For I tell you this, you will never see me again until you say, 'Bless the one who comes in the name of the Lord!'"

Bless the one who comes in the name of the LORD. We bless you from the house of the LORD.

He was in the center of the procession, and the crowds all around him were shouting, "Praise God for the Son of David! Bless the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Praise God in highest heaven!"

I want you to understand this mystery, dear brothers and sisters, so that you will not feel proud and start bragging. Some of the Jews have hard hearts, but this will last only until the complete number of Gentiles comes to Christ.

"My Father has given me authority over everything. No one really knows the Son except the Father, and no one really knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him."
Then when they were alone, he turned to the disciples and said, "How privileged you are to see what you have seen.

Later Jesus said to them again, "I am going away. You will search for me and die in your sin. You cannot come where I am going."

But the people's minds were hardened, and even to this day whenever the old covenant is being read, a veil covers their minds so they cannot understand the truth. And this veil can be removed only by believing in Christ.
Yes, even today when they read Moses' writings, their hearts are covered with that veil, and they do not understand.
But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, then the veil is taken away.
Now, the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, he gives freedom.
And all of us have had that veil removed so that we can be mirrors that brightly reflect the glory of the Lord. And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like him and reflect his glory even more.

That is why I said that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am who I say I am, you will die in your sins."

Later he talked again about this with his disciples. "The time is coming when you will long to share in the days of the Son of Man, but you won't be able to," he said.

The Holy Spirit had revealed to him that he would not die until he had seen the Lord's Messiah.
That day the Spirit led him to the Temple. So when Mary and Joseph came to present the baby Jesus to the Lord as the law required,
Simeon was there. He took the child in his arms and praised God, saying,
"Lord, now I can die in peace! As you promised me,
I have seen the Savior

"Then I will pour out a spirit of grace and prayer on the family of David and on all the people of Jerusalem. They will look on me whom they have pierced and mourn for him as for an only son. They will grieve bitterly for him as for a firstborn son who has died.

Your ancestor Abraham rejoiced as he looked forward to my coming. He saw it and was glad."

This illustrates that Israel will be a long time without a king or prince, and without sacrifices, temple, priests, or even idols!

Messenger of good news, shout to Zion from the mountaintops! Shout louder to Jerusalem--do not be afraid. Tell the towns of Judah, "Your God is coming!"
Yes, the Sovereign LORD is coming in all his glorious power. He will rule with awesome strength. See, he brings his reward with him as he comes.
He will feed his flock like a shepherd. He will carry the lambs in his arms, holding them close to his heart. He will gently lead the mother sheep with their young.

In just a little while the world will not see me again, but you will. For I will live again, and you will, too.

Jesus replied, "Philip, don't you even yet know who I am, even after all the time I have been with you? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking to see him?
