Mark 4:1
1: Once again Jesus began teaching by the lakeshore. There was such a large crowd along the shore that he got into a boat and sat down and spoke from there.
Mark 2:13
- Then Jesus went out to the lakeshore again and taught the crowds that gathered around him.

- One day as Jesus was preaching on the shore of the Sea of Galilee, great crowds pressed in on him to listen to the word of God.
- He noticed two empty boats at the water's edge, for the fishermen had left them and were washing their nets.

- One day Jesus told this story to a large crowd that had gathered from many towns to hear him:
- "A farmer went out to plant some seed. As he scattered it across his field, some seed fell on a footpath, where it was stepped on, and the birds came and ate it.
- Other seed fell on shallow soil with underlying rock. This seed began to grow, but soon it withered and died for lack of moisture.
- Other seed fell among thorns that shot up and choked out the tender blades.
- Still other seed fell on fertile soil. This seed grew and produced a crop one hundred times as much as had been planted." When he had said this, he called out, "Anyone who is willing to hear should listen and understand!"
Matthew 13:1
- Later that same day, Jesus left the house and went down to the shore,
- where an immense crowd soon gathered. He got into a boat, where he sat and taught as the people listened on the shore.
