4: "Remember to obey the instructions of my servant Moses, all the laws and regulations that I gave him on Mount Sinai for all Israel.
Deuteronomy 4:10
- Tell them especially about the day when you stood before the LORD your God at Mount Sinai, where he told me, `Summon the people before me, and I will instruct them. That way, they will learn to fear me as long as they live, and they will be able to teach my laws to their children.'
James 2:9

- "If his master gave him a wife while he was a slave, and they had sons or daughters, then the man will be free in the seventh year, but his wife and children will still belong to his master.
- But the slave may plainly declare, `I love my master, my wife, and my children. I would rather not go free.'
Matthew 19:16

Leviticus 1:1

Deuteronomy 4:5
- "You must obey these laws and regulations when you arrive in the land you are about to enter and occupy. The LORD my God gave them to me and commanded me to pass them on to you.
- If you obey them carefully, you will display your wisdom and intelligence to the surrounding nations. When they hear about these laws, they will exclaim, `What other nation is as wise and prudent as this!'
Isaiah 8:20
- "Check their predictions against my testimony," says the LORD. "If their predictions are different from mine, it is because there is no light or truth in them.
Romans 13:1
- Obey the government, for God is the one who put it there. All governments have been placed in power by God.
- So those who refuse to obey the laws of the land are refusing to obey God, and punishment will follow.
- For the authorities do not frighten people who are doing right, but they frighten those who do wrong. So do what they say, and you will get along well.
- The authorities are sent by God to help you. But if you are doing something wrong, of course you should be afraid, for you will be punished. The authorities are established by God for that very purpose, to punish those who do wrong.
- So you must obey the government for two reasons: to keep from being punished and to keep a clear conscience.
