14: Then Moses brought in the bull for the sin offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head

At that time, the Levitical priests of the family of Zadok, who minister before me, are to be given a young bull for a sin offering, says the Sovereign LORD.

He is to lay both of his hands on the goat's head and confess over it all the sins and rebellion of the Israelites. In this way, he will lay the people's sins on the head of the goat; then he will send it out into the wilderness, led by a man chosen for this task.

"Then bring the young bull to the entrance of the Tabernacle, and Aaron and his sons will lay their hands on its head.
You will then slaughter it in the LORD's presence at the entrance of the Tabernacle.
Smear some of its blood on the horns of the altar with your finger, and pour out the rest at the base of the altar.
Take all the fat that covers the internal organs, also the long lobe of the liver and the two kidneys with their fat, and burn them on the altar.
Then take the carcass (including the skin and the dung) outside the camp, and burn it as a sin offering.

For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

The law of Moses could not save us, because of our sinful nature. But God put into effect a different plan to save us. He sent his own Son in a human body like ours, except that ours are sinful. God destroyed sin's control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins.

He is the kind of high priest we need because he is holy and blameless, unstained by sin. He has now been set apart from sinners, and he has been given the highest place of honor in heaven.
He does not need to offer sacrifices every day like the other high priests. They did this for their own sins first and then for the sins of the people. But Jesus did this once for all when he sacrificed himself on the cross.
Those who were high priests under the law of Moses were limited by human weakness. But after the law was given, God appointed his Son with an oath, and his Son has been made perfect forever.

"Aaron will present the bull as a sin offering, to make atonement for himself and his family.

That is why I am sacrificing burnt offerings to you--the best of my rams as a pleasing aroma. And I will sacrifice bulls and goats.

Christ also suffered when he died for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners that he might bring us safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit.

Lay your hand on its head so the LORD will accept it as your substitute, thus making atonement for you.

But it was the LORD's good plan to crush him and fill him with grief. Yet when his life is made an offering for sin, he will have a multitude of children, many heirs. He will enjoy a long life, and the LORD's plan will prosper in his hands.

"If the high priest sins, bringing guilt upon the entire community, he must bring to the LORD a young bull with no physical defects.
He must present the bull to the LORD at the entrance of the Tabernacle, lay his hand on the bull's head, and slaughter it there in the LORD's presence.
The priest on duty will then take some of the animal's blood into the Tabernacle,
dip his finger into the blood, and sprinkle it seven times before the LORD in front of the inner curtain of the Most Holy Place.
The priest will put some of the blood on the horns of the incense altar that stands in the LORD's presence in the Tabernacle. The rest of the bull's blood must be poured out at the base of the altar of burnt offerings at the entrance of the Tabernacle.

"Now bring Aaron and his sons, along with their special clothing, the anointing oil, the bull for the sin offering, the two rams, and the basket of unleavened bread
