  1. He must have a strong and steadfast belief in the trustworthy message he was taught; then he will be able to encourage others with right teaching and show those who oppose it where they are wrong.
  2. For there are many who rebel against right teaching; they engage in useless talk and deceive people. This is especially true of those who insist on circumcision for salvation.

  1. Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from what we believe; they will follow lying spirits and teachings that come from demons.
  2. These teachers are hypocrites and liars. They pretend to be religious, but their consciences are dead.
  3. They will say it is wrong to be married and wrong to eat certain foods. But God created those foods to be eaten with thanksgiving by people who know and believe the truth.

Galatians 1:8

  1. Let God's curse fall on anyone, including myself, who preaches any other message than the one we told you about. Even if an angel comes from heaven and preaches any other message, let him be forever cursed.
  2. I will say it again: If anyone preaches any other gospel than the one you welcomed, let God's curse fall upon that person.

James 4:8

  1. Draw close to God, and God will draw close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, you hypocrites.
