3: These were the nations: the Philistines (those living under the five Philistine rulers), all the Canaanites, the Sidonians, and the Hivites living in the hill country of Lebanon from Mount Baal-hermon to Lebo-hamath.

Joshua 11:8

- So on that day Israel saw God subdue Jabin, the Canaanite king.
- And from that time on Israel became stronger and stronger against King Jabin, until they finally destroyed him.

- The Philistines mustered a mighty army of three thousand chariots, six thousand horsemen, and as many warriors as the grains of sand along the seashore! They camped at Micmash east of Beth-aven.
