4: When the men of Judah attacked, the LORD gave them victory over the Canaanites and Perizzites, and they killed ten thousand enemy warriors at the town of Bezek.

  2. But I will not do this all in one year because the land would become a wilderness, and the wild animals would become too many to control.

Deuteronomy 9:3

  1. But the LORD your God will cross over ahead of you like a devouring fire to destroy them. He will subdue them so that you will quickly conquer them and drive them out, just as the LORD has promised.
