14: So the Israelite leaders examined their bread, but they did not consult the LORD.

For without consulting me, you have gone down to Egypt to find help. You have put your trust in Pharaoh for his protection.

After this, David asked the LORD, "Should I move back to Judah?" And the LORD replied, "Yes." Then David asked, "Which town should I go to?" And the LORD replied, "Hebron."

If you need wisdom--if you want to know what God wants you to do--ask him, and he will gladly tell you. He will not resent your asking.
