11: "When you crossed the Jordan River and came to Jericho, the men of Jericho fought against you. There were also many others who fought you, including the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Girgashites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites. But I gave you victory over them.
Joshua 4:10
- The priests who were carrying the Ark stood in the middle of the river until all of the LORD's instructions, which Moses had given to Joshua, were carried out. Meanwhile, the people hurried across the riverbed.

- "Come and help me destroy Gibeon," he urged them, "for they have made peace with Joshua and the people of Israel."
- So these five Amorite kings combined their armies for a united attack. They moved all their troops into place and attacked Gibeon.
