John 9:3

3: "It was not because of his sins or his parents' sins," Jesus answered. "He was born blind so the power of God could be seen in him.

But when Jesus heard about it he said, "Lazarus's sickness will not end in death. No, it is for the glory of God. I, the Son of God, will receive glory from this."

Not at all! It is because of your wickedness! Your guilt has no limit!
"For example, you must have lent money to your friend and then kept the clothing he gave you as a pledge. Yes, you stripped him to the bone.
You must have refused water for the thirsty and food for the hungry.
After all, you think the land belongs to the powerful and that those who are privileged have a right to it!
You must have sent widows away without helping them and crushed the strength of orphans.

After the LORD had finished speaking to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite: "I am angry with you and with your two friends, for you have not been right in what you said about me, as my servant Job was.

Then the LORD asked Satan, "Have you noticed my servant Job? He is the finest man in all the earth--a man of complete integrity. He fears God and will have nothing to do with evil. And he has maintained his integrity, even though you persuaded me to harm him without cause."
Satan replied to the LORD, "Skin for skin--he blesses you only because you bless him. A man will give up everything he has to save his life.
But take away his health, and he will surely curse you to your face!"
"All right, do with him as you please," the LORD said to Satan. "But spare his life."

This, too, I carefully explored: Even though the actions of godly and wise people are in God's hands, no one knows whether or not God will show them favor in this life.
The same destiny ultimately awaits everyone, whether they are righteous or wicked, good or bad, ceremonially clean or unclean, religious or irreligious. Good people receive the same treatment as sinners, and people who take oaths are treated like people who don't.

"Do you think those Galileans were worse sinners than other people from Galilee?" he asked. "Is that why they suffered?
Not at all! And you will also perish unless you turn from your evil ways and turn to God.
And what about the eighteen men who died when the Tower of Siloam fell on them? Were they the worst sinners in Jerusalem?
No, and I tell you again that unless you repent, you will also perish."

Just believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Or at least believe because of what you have seen me do.
"The truth is, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.
You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, because the work of the Son brings glory to the Father.

The people of the island saw it hanging there and said to each other, "A murderer, no doubt! Though he escaped the sea, justice will not permit him to live."

Then the LORD asked Satan, "Have you noticed my servant Job? He is the finest man in all the earth--a man of complete integrity. He fears God and will have nothing to do with evil."
Satan replied to the LORD, "Yes, Job fears God, but not without good reason!
You have always protected him and his home and his property from harm. You have made him prosperous in everything he does. Look how rich he is!
But take away everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face!"
"All right, you may test him," the LORD said to Satan. "Do whatever you want with everything he possesses, but don't harm him physically." So Satan left the LORD's presence.

the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is being preached to the poor.

The council then threatened them further, but they finally let them go because they didn't know how to punish them without starting a riot. For everyone was praising God

He was also angry with Job's three friends because they had condemned God by their inability to answer Job's arguments.

Jesus responded, "Didn't I tell you that you will see God's glory if you believe?"
