44: And Lazarus came out, bound in graveclothes, his face wrapped in a headcloth. Jesus told them, "Unwrap him and let him go!"

"And I assure you that the time is coming, in fact it is here, when the dead will hear my voice--the voice of the Son of God. And those who listen will live.

As Paul spoke on and on, a young man named Eutychus, sitting on the windowsill, became very drowsy. Finally, he sank into a deep sleep and fell three stories to his death below.
Paul went down, bent over him, and took him into his arms. "Don't worry," he said, "he's alive!"
Then they all went back upstairs and ate the Lord's Supper together. And Paul continued talking to them until dawn; then he left.
Meanwhile, the young man was taken home unhurt, and everyone was greatly relieved.

Then the dead boy sat up and began to talk to those around him! And Jesus gave him back to his mother.

Jesus told her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die like everyone else, will live again.
They are given eternal life for believing in me and will never perish. Do you believe this, Martha?"

The LORD brings both death and life; he brings some down to the grave but raises others up.

Together they wrapped Jesus' body in a long linen cloth with the spices, as is the Jewish custom of burial.

Jesus commanded them not to tell anyone what had happened, and he told them to give her something to eat.

I am the living one who died. Look, I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave.

He will take these weak mortal bodies of ours and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same mighty power that he will use to conquer everything, everywhere.

Should I ransom them from the grave? Should I redeem them from death? O death, bring forth your terrors! O grave, bring forth your plagues! For I will not relent!

He stooped and looked in and saw the linen cloth lying there, but he didn't go in.

"Roll the stone aside," Jesus told them. But Martha, the dead man's sister, said, "Lord, by now the smell will be terrible because he has been dead for four days."

Then he asked me, "Son of man, can these bones become living people again?O Sovereign LORD," I replied, "you alone know the answer to that."
Then he said to me, "Speak to these bones and say, `Dry bones, listen to the word of the LORD!
This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Look! I am going to breathe into you and make you live again!
I will put flesh and muscles on you and cover you with skin. I will put breath into you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.'"
So I spoke these words, just as he told me. Suddenly as I spoke, there was a rattling noise all across the valley. The bones of each body came together and attached themselves as they had been before.
