22: "But who can teach a lesson to God, the supreme Judge?

For who can know what the Lord is thinking? Who knows enough to be his counselor?

Who is able to advise the Spirit of the LORD? Who knows enough to be his teacher or counselor?
Has the LORD ever needed anyone's advice? Does he need instruction about what is good or what is best?

How could they? For, "Who can know what the Lord is thinking? Who can give him counsel?" But we can understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ.

If you see a poor person being oppressed by the powerful and justice being miscarried throughout the land, don't be surprised! For every official is under orders from higher up, and matters of justice only get lost in red tape and bureaucracy.

Why, God doesn't even trust the angels! Even the heavens cannot be absolutely pure in his sight.

Could God govern if he hated justice? Are you going to condemn the almighty Judge?
For he says to kings and nobles, `You are wicked and unjust.'
He doesn't care how great a person may be, and he doesn't pay any more attention to the rich than to the poor. He made them all.

"Destruction is certain for those who argue with their Creator. Does a clay pot ever argue with its maker? Does the clay dispute with the one who shapes it, saying, `Stop, you are doing it wrong!' Does the pot exclaim, `How clumsy can you be!'

And I remind you of the angels who did not stay within the limits of authority God gave them but left the place where they belonged. God has kept them chained in prisons of darkness, waiting for the day of judgment.

It is God who sits above the circle of the earth. The people below must seem to him like grasshoppers! He is the one who spreads out the heavens like a curtain and makes his tent from them.
He judges the great people of the world and brings them all to nothing.

I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God's throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to the things written in the books, according to what they had done.
The sea gave up the dead in it, and death and the grave gave up the dead in them. They were all judged according to their deeds.
And death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death--the lake of fire.
And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.

Don't you realize that we Christians will judge angels? So you should surely be able to resolve ordinary disagreements here on earth.

For God did not spare even the angels when they sinned; he threw them into hell, in gloomy caves and darkness until the judgment day.

"Do you still want to argue with the Almighty? You are God's critic, but do you have the answers?"

Then I saw an angel come down from heaven with the key to the bottomless pit and a heavy chain in his hand.
He seized the dragon--that old serpent, the Devil, Satan--and bound him in chains for a thousand years.
The angel threw him into the bottomless pit, which he then shut and locked so Satan could not deceive the nations anymore until the thousand years were finished. Afterward he would be released again for a little while.
