Jeremiah 27:7
7: All the nations will serve him and his son and his grandson until his time is up. But then many nations and great kings will conquer and rule over Babylon.
Zechariah 2:8
- "After a period of glory, the LORD Almighty sent me against the nations who oppressed you. For he said, `Anyone who harms you harms my most precious possession.

- Do to her as she has done to your people. Give her a double penalty for all her evil deeds. She brewed a cup of terror for others, so give her twice as much as she gave out.

Isaiah 47:1

Jeremiah 25:11
- This entire land will become a desolate wasteland. Israel and her neighboring lands will serve the king of Babylon for seventy years.

- I will bring upon them all the terrors I have promised in this book--all the penalties announced by Jeremiah against the nations.

2 Chronicles 36:20
- The few who survived were taken away to Babylon, and they became servants to the king and his sons until the kingdom of Persia came to power.
- So the message of the LORD spoken through Jeremiah was fulfilled. The land finally enjoyed its Sabbath rest, lying desolate for seventy years, just as the prophet had said.

Revelation 14:15
- Then an angel came from the Temple and called out in a loud voice to the one sitting on the cloud, "Use the sickle, for the time has come for you to harvest; the crop is ripe on the earth."
- So the one sitting on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the whole earth was harvested.
- After that, another angel came from the Temple in heaven, and he also had a sharp sickle.
- Then another angel, who has power to destroy the world with fire, shouted to the angel with the sickle, "Use your sickle now to gather the clusters of grapes from the vines of the earth, for they are fully ripe for judgment."
- So the angel swung his sickle on the earth and loaded the grapes into the great winepress of God's wrath.
Jeremiah 50:1
- The LORD gave Jeremiah the prophet this message concerning Babylon and the land of the Babylonians.
- This is what the LORD says: "Tell the whole world, and keep nothing back! Raise a signal flag so everyone will know that Babylon will fall! Her images and idols will be shattered. Her gods Bel and Marduk will be utterly disgraced.
- For a nation will attack her from the north and bring such destruction that no one will live in her again. Everything will be gone; both people and animals will flee.
- "Then the people of Israel and Judah will join together," says the LORD, "weeping and seeking the LORD their God.
- They will ask the way to Jerusalem and will start back home again. They will bind themselves to the LORD with an eternal covenant that will never again be broken.
Isaiah 14:22
- This is what the LORD Almighty says: "I, myself, have risen against him! I will destroy his children and his children's children, so they will never sit on his throne.
- I will make Babylon into a desolate land, a place of porcupines, filled with swamps and marshes. I will sweep the land with the broom of destruction. I, the LORD Almighty, have spoken!"
Daniel 5:25

- The great city of Babylon split into three pieces, and cities around the world fell into heaps of rubble. And so God remembered all of Babylon's sins, and he made her drink the cup that was filled with the wine of his fierce wrath.
