Isaiah 22:3

3: All your leaders flee. They surrender without resistance. The people try to slip away, but they are captured, too.

Isaiah 3:1

  1. The Lord, the LORD Almighty, will cut off the supplies of food and water from Jerusalem and Judah.
  2. He will destroy all the nation's leaders--the heroes, soldiers, judges, prophets, diviners, elders,
  3. army officers, honorable citizens, advisers, skilled magicians, and expert enchanters.
  4. Then he will appoint children to rule over them, and anarchy will prevail.
  5. People will take advantage of each other--man against man, neighbor fighting neighbor. Young people will revolt against authority, and nobodies will sneer at honorable people.

2 Kings 25:4

  1. Then a section of the city wall was broken down, and all the soldiers made plans to escape from the city. But since the city was surrounded by the Babylonians, they waited for nightfall and fled through the gate between the two walls behind the king's gardens. They made a dash across the fields, in the direction of the Jordan Valley.
  2. But the Babylonians chased after them and caught the king on the plains of Jericho, for by then his men had all abandoned him.
  3. They brought him to the king of Babylon at Riblah, where sentence was passed against him.
  4. The king of Babylon made Zedekiah watch as all his sons were killed. Then they gouged out Zedekiah's eyes, bound him in bronze chains, and led him away to Babylon.

Jeremiah 52:24

  1. The captain of the guard took with him as prisoners Seraiah the chief priest, his assistant Zephaniah, and the three chief gatekeepers.
  2. And of the people still hiding in the city, he took an officer of the Judean army, seven of the king's personal advisers, the army commander's chief secretary, who was in charge of recruitment, and sixty other citizens.
  3. Nebuzaradan the commander took them all to the king of Babylon at Riblah.
  4. And there at Riblah in the land of Hamath, the king of Babylon had them all put to death. So the people of Judah were sent into exile from their land.

  2. But the Babylonians chased the king and caught him on the plains of Jericho. They took him to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, who was at Riblah in the land of Hamath. There the king of Babylon pronounced judgment upon Zedekiah.
  3. He made Zedekiah watch as they killed his sons and all the nobles of Judah.
  4. Then he gouged out Zedekiah's eyes, bound him in chains, and sent him away to exile in Babylon.
