Ezra 6:8
8: Moreover I hereby decree that you are to help these leaders of the Jews as they rebuild this Temple of God. You must pay the full construction costs without delay from my taxes collected in your province so that the work will not be discontinued.
Ezra 6:4

Ezra 4:20
- Powerful kings have ruled over Jerusalem and the entire province west of the Euphrates River and have received vast tribute, customs, and tolls.
- Therefore, issue orders to have these people stop their work. That city must not be rebuilt except at my express command.
