17: "So now, if it pleases the king, we request that you search in the royal archives of Babylon to discover whether King Cyrus ever issued a decree to rebuild God's Temple in Jerusalem. And then let the king send us his decision in this matter."

Ezra 4:15

  1. We suggest that you search your ancestors' records, where you will discover what a rebellious city this has been in the past. In fact, it was destroyed because of its long history of sedition against the kings and countries who attempted to control it.

  4. Every three layers of specially prepared stones will be topped by a layer of timber. All expenses will be paid by the royal treasury.
  5. And the gold and silver utensils, which were taken to Babylon by Nebuchadnezzar from the Temple of God in Jerusalem, will be taken back to Jerusalem and put into God's Temple as they were before."

Proverbs 25:2

  1. It is God's privilege to conceal things and the king's privilege to discover them.
