24: "They will serve as judges to resolve any disagreements among my people. Their decisions must be based on my regulations. And the priests themselves must obey my instructions and laws at all the sacred festivals, and they will see to it that the Sabbath is set apart as a holy day.

Deuteronomy 17:8

  1. "Suppose a case arises in a local court that is too hard for you to decide--for instance, whether someone is guilty of murder or only of manslaughter, or a difficult lawsuit, or a case involving different kinds of assault. Take such cases to the place the LORD your God will choose,
  2. where the Levitical priests and the judge on duty will hear the case and decide what to do.
  3. The decision they make at the place the LORD chooses will always stand. You must do exactly what they say.
  4. After they have interpreted the law and reached a verdict, the sentence they impose must be fully executed; do not modify it in any way.
  5. Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the LORD your God must be put to death. Such evil must be purged from Israel.

Nehemiah 8:1

  2. So on October 8 Ezra the priest brought the scroll of the law before the assembly, which included the men and women and all the children old enough to understand.

  4. Ezra the scribe stood on a high wooden platform that had been made for the occasion. To his right stood Mattithiah, Shema, Anaiah, Uriah, Hilkiah, and Maaseiah. To his left stood Pedaiah, Mishael, Malkijah, Hashum, Hashbaddanah, Zechariah, and Meshullam.
  5. Ezra stood on the platform in full view of all the people. When they saw him open the book, they all rose to their feet.

1 Timothy 3:15

  1. so that if I can't come for a while, you will know how people must conduct themselves in the household of God. This is the church of the living God, which is the pillar and support of the truth.

  5. "First comes the LORD's Passover, which begins at twilight on its appointed day in early spring.

Numbers 28:1

  1. The LORD said to Moses,
  2. "Give these instructions to the people of Israel: The offerings you present to me by fire on the altar are my food, and they are very pleasing to me. See to it that they are brought at the appointed times and offered according to my instructions.
  3. "Say to them: When you present your daily whole burnt offerings to the LORD, you must offer two one-year-old male lambs with no physical defects.
  4. One lamb will be sacrificed in the morning and the other in the evening.
  5. With each lamb you must offer a grain offering of two quarts of choice flour mixed with one quart of olive oil.
