6: Has anyone just planted a vineyard but not yet eaten any of its fruit? If so, go home! You might die in battle, and someone else would eat from it!

Leviticus 19:23

  1. "When you enter the land and plant fruit trees, leave the fruit unharvested for the first three years and consider it forbidden.
  2. In the fourth year the entire crop will be devoted to the LORD as an outburst of praise.

  1. It will not be like the past, when invaders took the houses and confiscated the vineyards. For my people will live as long as trees and will have time to enjoy their hard-won gains.

  1. Again you will plant your vineyards on the mountains of Samaria and eat from your own gardens there.

Zephaniah 1:13

  1. They are the very ones whose property will be plundered by the enemy, whose homes will be ransacked. They will never have a chance to live in the new homes they have built. They will never drink wine from the vineyards they have planted.
