26: And King Agrippa knows about these things. I speak frankly, for I am sure these events are all familiar to him, for they were not done in a corner!
Acts 26:2
- "I am fortunate, King Agrippa, that you are the one hearing my defense against all these accusations made by the Jewish leaders,
- for I know you are an expert on Jewish customs and controversies. Now please listen to me patiently!
Acts 2:1
- On the day of Pentecost, seven weeks after Jesus' resurrection, the believers were meeting together in one place.
- Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm in the skies above them, and it filled the house where they were meeting.
- Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them.
- And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.
- Godly Jews from many nations were living in Jerusalem at that time.
Matthew 27:29
- They made a crown of long, sharp thorns and put it on his head, and they placed a stick in his right hand as a scepter. Then they knelt before him in mockery, yelling, "Hail! King of the Jews!"
- And they spit on him and grabbed the stick and beat him on the head with it.
- When they were finally tired of mocking him, they took off the robe and put his own clothes on him again. Then they led him away to be crucified.
- As they were on the way, they came across a man named Simon, who was from Cyrene, and they forced him to carry Jesus' cross.
- Then they went out to a place called Golgotha (which means Skull Hill).

- "I'd like to hear the man myself," Agrippa said. And Festus replied, "You shall--tomorrow!"
Acts 4:16
- "What should we do with these men?" they asked each other. "We can't deny they have done a miraculous sign, and everybody in Jerusalem knows about it.
- But perhaps we can stop them from spreading their propaganda. We'll warn them not to speak to anyone in Jesus' name again."
- So they called the apostles back in and told them never again to speak or teach about Jesus.
- But Peter and John replied, "Do you think God wants us to obey you rather than him?
- We cannot stop telling about the wonderful things we have seen and heard."
Acts 5:18
- They arrested the apostles and put them in the jail.
- But an angel of the Lord came at night, opened the gates of the jail, and brought them out. Then he told them,
- "Go to the Temple and give the people this message of life!"
- So the apostles entered the Temple about daybreak and immediately began teaching. When the high priest and his officials arrived, they convened the high council, along with all the elders of Israel. Then they sent for the apostles to be brought for trial.
- But when the Temple guards went to the jail, the men were gone. So they returned to the council and reported,
Isaiah 30:20
- Though the Lord gave you adversity for food and affliction for drink, he will still be with you to teach you. You will see your teacher with your own eyes,
Matthew 26:5
- "But not during the Passover," they agreed, "or there will be a riot."
