9: He had four unmarried daughters who had the gift of prophecy.

'In the last days, God said, I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.

Anna, a prophet, was also there in the Temple. She was the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher, and was very old. She was a widow, for her husband had died when they had been married only seven years.

But I have this complaint against you. You are permitting that woman--that Jezebel who calls herself a prophet--to lead my servants astray. She is encouraging them to worship idols, eat food offered to idols, and commit sexual sin.

"Then after I have poured out my rains again, I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions.

Then Miriam the prophet, Aaron's sister, took a tambourine and led all the women in rhythm and dance.

So Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam, Acbor, Shaphan, and Asaiah went to the newer Mishneh section of Jerusalem to consult with the prophet Huldah. She was the wife of Shallum son of Tikvah and grandson of Harhas, the keeper of the Temple wardrobe.

A man dishonors Christ if he covers his head while praying or prophesying.
But a woman dishonors her husband if she prays or prophesies without a covering on her head, for this is the same as shaving her head.

Remember, O my God, all the evil things that Tobiah and Sanballat have done. And remember Noadiah the prophet and all the prophets like her who have tried to intimidate me.

So the person who marries does well, and the person who doesn't marry does even better.

Now, about the young women who are not yet married. I do not have a command from the Lord for them. But the Lord in his kindness has given me wisdom that can be trusted, and I will share it with you.
Because of the present crisis, I think it is best to remain just as you are.
If you have a wife, do not end the marriage. If you do not have a wife, do not get married.
But if you do get married, it is not a sin. And if a young woman gets married, it is not a sin. However, I am trying to spare you the extra problems that come with marriage.
Now let me say this, dear brothers and sisters: The time that remains is very short, so husbands should not let marriage be their major concern.
