43: A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders.

And all the people in that region begged Jesus to go away and leave them alone, for a great wave of fear swept over them. So Jesus returned to the boat and left, crossing back to the other side of the lake.

"The truth is, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.

Great fear swept the crowd, and they praised God, saying, "A mighty prophet has risen among us," and "We have seen the hand of God at work today."

These signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak new languages.

But Peter said, "I don't have any money for you. But I'll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!"
Then Peter took the lame man by the right hand and helped him up. And as he did, the man's feet and anklebones were healed and strengthened.
He jumped up, stood on his feet, and began to walk! Then, walking, leaping, and praising God, he went into the Temple with them.
All the people saw him walking and heard him praising God.

Peter said to him, "Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you! Get up and make your bed!" And he was healed instantly.

But Peter asked them all to leave the room; then he knelt and prayed. Turning to the body he said, "Get up, Tabitha." And she opened her eyes! When she saw Peter, she sat up!

Then this city will bring me joy, glory, and honor before all the nations of the earth! The people of the world will see the good I do for my people and will tremble with awe!

But afterward the people will return to the LORD their God and to David's descendant, their king. They will come trembling in awe to the LORD, and they will receive his good gifts in the last days.

As a result of the apostles' work, sick people were brought out into the streets on beds and mats so that Peter's shadow might fall across some of them as he went by.
Crowds came in from the villages around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those possessed by evil spirits, and they were all healed.

And the apostles gave powerful witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and God's great favor was upon them all.

In every city and province, wherever the king's decree arrived, the Jews rejoiced and had a great celebration and declared a public festival and holiday. And many of the people of the land became Jews themselves, for they feared what the Jews might do to them.

Great fear gripped the entire church and all others who heard what had happened.
Meanwhile, the apostles were performing many miraculous signs and wonders among the people. And the believers were meeting regularly at the Temple in the area known as Solomon's Colonnade.
No one else dared to join them, though everyone had high regard for them.
